I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acknowledge the receipt of Mr Lucas's letter of the 3rd instant further respecting the proposed arrangements for the supply of local subsidiary coins for Hong Kong and the Straits Settlements .
In reply, I am to request that you will inform Mr Secretary Chamberlain that My Lords have no objection to the inclusion of the bronze coinages required by those Colonies in the proposed arrangement with the Government of India.
